Meet the 2CA-Braga Team

The Clinical Academic Center of Braga (2CA-Braga) is a non-profit partnership between the University of Minho (through the School of Medicine and the Life and Health Sciences Research Institute [ICVS]), the Hospital of Braga (HB), and the CUF-Porto Hospital.

The 2CA-Braga team is involved in the clinical study of Sentinel’s technology. The team includes clinical experts from the Urology Department of Hospital de Braga, study nurses, project managers and a finance project manager.

The success and quality of a clinical study depend on the different expertise of a multi-disciplinary team. For the Sentinel clinical study, recruiting the participants and collecting the data will be the responsibility of the medical investigators in the study, namely urologists from the Hospital of Braga; while the study nurses will be responsible for the collection of the biological samples. Preparation of regulatory documentation has been performed since the start of the project by the project managers, to assure legal requirements are met for submission of the study to the local entities (Data Protection Officer and Ethics Committee of Hospital de Braga). After approval, project managers will assure the management of the study. Finally, the finance project manager role involves budget management throughout the project.
